Review:
It was an OK movie. In fact, if she had known something other than "Karate Kid", I liked better. He could have stood on its own as a karate chop and distribution was correct. "The Karate Kid" is an entertainment. A remake of the 1984 martial arts film of the same name, comes a film that has some kick-ass stuff a running time over 130 minutes. Harald Zwart direction is perfect, it makes a good remake, if we expected it to be a poor relation.

"The Karate Kid" has smart-ass Jaden Smith at his best. A star full of things that seniors are sometimes reluctant in. Plus we get to see the legendary Jackie Chan in a serious leading role. Jackie Chan has finally done something that Hollywood has not allowed him to do ... Act! Although there are the usual tricks, the emphasis is more on his acting and delivery. And the boy, Chan excels from beginning to end. The actor in the legend was finally awake. It is the soul of the film! Taraji P. Henson also introduces a stunning act as loving mother Jaden. The waterfalls are spectacular. The culmination , which is nearly 30 minutes, is the climax of the film. It's fantastic and jaw-picturized languidly.

There are beautiful mountains and the Great Wall of China scenes that are used to obtain Dr. shape. You almost start to wonder if history was changed, and Dre may not be able to finish the game at the end of the film. The film was just fun to watch with touching moments and Kung Fu has been remarkable. It is a move towards the film. (Columbia Pictures, Run Time 2:06, Rated PG) (8 / 10)
