Sergio MayerThe companies form a common front in Puerto Pea±asco

A coalition to strengthen the private sector, while guiding Puerto Penasco for a better future are the objectives behind the creation of the Coordinating Council of Local Affairs, under the leadership of its new president, Oscar Soto Palacio.

These goals were announced January 20 during the swearing-in ceremony of the first board of the Board of Directors. The board consists of members of the National Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of the fishing industry, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Association of Tourism Developers, and members of professional groups of accountants, engineers and architects.

After the official swearing in ceremony of the board of directors of civil association, the State Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Business, Arriola Victor Mayer has spoken and said that the synergy of business organizations play an important role in communities such as Puerto Penasco.

He said the intent of the Coordination Council business is not in competition with other organizations, but rather to establish effective coordination and to mediate issues that may arise between organizations or companies already established.

This new organization, he said, undoubtedly help raise enormous similarities and agreements, and serve as an effective tool for working with the authorities of the three levels of government, financial institutions and independent entities, all centered on the common goal of promoting Puerto Penasco.

Arriola Mayer noted the current situation represents a valuable opportunity for the revitalization of business and value for money. He added that during an election year like this, it is necessary for society to become more involved in the development and to effective union between the public and private sectors.

The newly appointed chairman of the Local Coordinating Council Affairs, Oscar Soto Palacio, said that Puerto Penasco is the exact time to unite their efforts and guide everyone towards a better future.

After recent collapses in the local economy, he stressed that in the field of tourism they never expected what happen now because the housing crisis. Therefore, he urged, they should seek and find ways to move forward through dialogue on common objectives and common efforts.

Palacio de Soto said the organization will provide benefits to the community that seeks to find alternatives and assess the impacts arising from different local companies.

Mayor Heriberto Renteria Sanchez said that in these difficult times, it is essential to look at things in a more realistic, because the reality is that companies have not been supported in Puerto Pea±asco, and thus many were affected by the economic crisis.

The mayor congratulated the participants of the Coordination Council of Business for their intention to cooperate actively in finding solutions to help solve problems and create better economic and productive, with the common aim of working to benefit Puerto Penasco ( Rocky Point ) by the organization and unity.

"It is necessary to adapt to the times we live in, and it's great that business people are getting organized, because there is no other means by which Penasco will get better, "remarked the head of the city.
