Rohan Marley

It is difficult to believe that a tiny island, could arise a giant among men. A man among men who could be such a force for good, and harmony and peace. It is from its humble beginnings as a giant would have an influence would be felt worldwide and the stage. Bob Marley was the man. Although I'm sure this was not his ambition as a child, he surely accepted as it would in the waters around his hometown of Kingston, on the Caribbean island of Jamaica.

It suited him as naturally as the cool flowing rhythms of his music. And, he trained many who followed, and continue to do its work today. Three daughters Stephanie Marley, Cedella, and Karen have all been part of musical heritage and business deals that leaps to the work of Marley. Its six son, Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Damian, Ky-Mani and Rohan have all followed along the path trodden first musical by Bob.

It's really a family musical inspired unprecedented proportions, even to this day. Such a source of inspiration for the family, must surely believe that most of the music runs right through the family. He defines it, is that it inspires, and it defies any logical explanation. It is more than just the music that flows through the veins of the family, it is the beliefs, spirit and enthusiasm that inspires and influences all family members. It will be exciting to see what the production monitoring of the generation Marley will bring to the world.

This diverse family of music, simply extend their grip on the world of music. While Bob Marley descendants took their own individual careers in music, they simply extend what Bob started over twenty five years. While Bob Marley Reggae will always remember, we would be remiss to forget the influence he had on several kinds of music, pop, rhythm & blues, soul and rock.

One wonders if such a force of music, art, posters, clothing, beliefs, spirituality could be mounted from. Kingston, Jamaica was not a Gentile be in our not so distant past, and even more for children of Bob Marley. Slavery was a big part of the history of Jamaica and has influenced and shaped the culture that gave birth to a young Bob Marley. There is no denying his influence on his music, and the tone of his early years.

What's really amazing about Bob Marley, is how his music was not entirely based on one thing or feeling. Although it does not have its dark and oppressive messages is also music that is full of light and enlightenment. This dichotomy is the music of Bob Marley, and in fact a perfect reflection of the world where he lived and the true humanity of the human soul.
