Roger Daltrey

Roger DaltreyRoger Daltrey, lead singer prototypical

Roger Daltrey was the first leader of WHO and will remain his chief spokesman for the duration of their careers. Coming from a working class London, Daltrey dropped out of school to concentrate on rock and roll in the early 1960s. Luckily, it seems like he would be singing on that record the first few years later and plot a course for rock and roll immortality. As a young man Daltrey had a rough and dry personality, and he was not afraid to fight someone to get his own way. He extended this gunboat diplomacy to dealings with his group, and was briefly expelled from The Who earlier, because of its rather violent methods to cope with social interaction. He was readmitted to the group after having promised to limit her outburst at the scene, where they would be more effective.

Never a prolific songwriter, Roger Daltrey has always been one of the most electrifying front men in rock and roll history. For many fans, it was the attack of the presence of twins dynamic scene Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend, acrobatics concert that made the band so incredible to watch. The fire that burned inside of both of them made them often butt heads backstage for any Daltrey was the ideal spokesperson for the ideas and words of Townshend, on occasion, they disagreed on business decisions and personnel. This would sometimes lead to violent relapse between the two of them, and after the death of drummer Keith Moon, their relationship has deteriorated to such a degree that it became impossible, the ending Who's existence.

Roger Daltrey has always been busy outside the group, with both musical projects and film roles. Not only is he emerged as the main character in the film adaptation of "Tommy", but he also found in films unrelated music. Daltrey has been active in Who Films, which produces films that are connected "Quadrophenia" and "The Kids Are Alright," but also made a foray into drama with McVicar, a film produced by and starring Roger Daltrey. Daltrey would go on to star in several films of his more independent production company in-house, and was also active in television and theater. He also continued his singing career since the breakup of The Who, both in terms of solo projects and in the fight against new interpretations of the material of the band.
