Richard Lockridge

A character is killed by food (shish kebab, I think) barbequed made a branch of oleander.

Note: I do not look for "The Piano Bird" in which a character is killed by a hot dog roast on a branch of oleander. I think the book I'm probably asking questions by Richard Lockridge and can be its master Heimrich series, although I'm not sure about that (and these books are no longer in the system of NY Public Library).

If you see the title, it would help? Here is a list from a guy who only listed the books he had in his possession, but it is quite large.

Stand Up and Die (Âc 1953) This is not one of my favorites.
Death by Association (Âc 1952) Very good book, takes place outside the state.
A customer is canceled (Âc 1951) Excellent! Written from a different perspective.
Foggy, Foggy Death (Âc 1950) Very good book.
Lady Spin Your Web (1949) I FINALLY owner of that title! Difficult to find. VERY good book!
I Want To Go Home (Âc 1948) Good book, but at times aggravating
Thinking about death (1947) good book. Well plotted and not obvious as to the solution. Heimrich role is limited.
