Philippa Gregory VS The Tudors - How did Princess Margaret Die? Ok, so ...
I watched The Tudors on TV. Princess Margaret died in less than ten episodes, something about consumption, but it seems to have been grief at her husband's adultery.
But in the books by Philippa Gregory, such as inheritance Boleyn, she married her husband without the permission of the kings and is sent to a convent, and this happens twice.
So what really happened?
Well, The Tudors is incorrect because the real-life sister of Henry VIII, who married Charles Brandon was named Mary, not Margaret. There was a Margaret who was also his sister, but she was queen of Scotland.
I only watched a few episodes of the Tudors as a couple, but they have read many books Phillipa Gregory and there seems to be many differences. I have not done a comprehensive study of the Tudors, but with factual information like that, I hope Gregoire information. Normally, I do not put that much stock in the novels of historical fiction, but a lot of research, and even gives a list of sources at the end of his books.
