My name is Paul Hussey and I was born in Portsmouth, England in 1961 (the same day as my older brother, but a year later). During my life here in England, I had several supernatural experiences that led to name mt a few of many famous hauntings that may be of interest to readers.

This is a list of the most famous haunted in England, it is likely that hundreds of thousands of others who are known locally.

• Airfields around the country, they say paranormal activity arising from the minds of airmen who died in the Second World War. Following aerodromes

  • ex-RAF Bircham Newton in Norfolk.

  • the former RAF East Kirkby in East Lincolnshire. The control tower is haunted by a "malignant" presence

  • the former RAF Elsham Wolds, near the A15 north of Barnetby in North Lincolnshire. The control tower was haunted by a ghost of a friendly aviator, said in the 1950s. Lancaster Phantom were seen off in the night on the A15.

• Arundel Castle in Sussex is often said that the house just four ghosts, but there are more ghost walks between ancient walls on the first meeting of the visitor. The spirit of the first Earl of Arundel, who built the castle, is still said to haunt the Castle Keep. Another spirit is said a young woman who was struck by the pain of a tragic love, took his own life by jumping into the death of one of the towers. Seen by some, it is said to still haunt the nights of moonlight on the castle dressed in white. Another spirit is that of a "blue man" who was seen in the library since the 1630s and we think it might be a reason the Cavalier time pretending to be the reign of King Charles. Another remarkable spirit, "is that a strange white owl as a bird. The legend tells that if the white bird is seen floating in a window, it is a warning of imminent death of a resident of the castle or someone closely associated. It is interesting to note here that Dukes used to keep a colony of American white owl in the castle before its restoration. There is also mention of a child domestic worker, who has lived in the castle which has been treated very badly until beaten to death. It is now said to haunt the kitchen and saw the pots and pans to scrub. Another strange observation was most recently in 1958 by a footman. Working late into the night on the floor, the waiter was walking near the servant quarters and saw what he thought was a man who went before him when he thought he had been alone. As he approached the appearance of the missing man, then disappeared.

• Bochym Manor is a residence of two ghosts, the pink lady short, and a ghost without a name that stands at a window of the room.

• Belgrave Hall in Leicester, has attracted attention in 1999 when a white figure was captured on CCTV. One theory is she is the daughter of a former owner.

• 50 Berkeley Square is reputed to be the most haunted house in London.

• Blue Bell Hill in Kent, particularly the A229. This has been the site of a female hitchhiker ghost. Cars are stopped to pick up a female hitchhiker, only for it to disappear at the incredulity of pilots.

• Borley Rectory in the village of Borley, Essex, England. Many sightings have been reported since 1885. The house burned in 1939 and remains a major source of controversy.

• Brislington, once a pretty village Somerset, but now a district of Bristol, has many ghosts in cafes and hotels, old and new houses, and public spaces.

• Bruce Castle in Tottenham, north London is haunted by the ghost of a woman who would appear every November 3. The ghost is seen as Lady Coleraine, which was locked in.
