Marketplace | Nicole Kidman Nicole Kidman recounts "How to Marry a Millionaire" The movie "How to Marry a Millionaire" began in 1953 and helped propel to stardom of Marilyn Monroe. The film, which depicts Monroe crazy, yet endearing Pola Debevoise, also received great Hollywood Lauren Bacall and Betty Grable as three beautiful women who, after being frustrated by dating men at low prices, to move into a posh apartment in New York and to use their feminine wiles to try to cling to marry wealthy singles.
Millionaire takes all Another Hollywood icon, namely Nicole Kidman has bought the film rights and is preparing to reorganize "How to Marry a Millionaire" through his production company 20th Century Fox basis, Blossom Films. Sacha Gervasi, best known for writing "The Terminal" script for Steven Spielberg, has been charged with the pen the screenplay, is said to be a modern-day update of the classic movie reinterpretation of Monroe. Most likely, the plot does not follow the script original too closely, and is still under wraps. There have been reports speculating about who might be cast alongside Nicole Kidman, or the redesigned version of the same star with three ladies. Nicole Kidman is rumored to be taking over the role of Marilyn Monroe in the film.
Make Me Over Kidman, a remake of a veteran, has already lent his thespian talents to a remake of "Stepford Wives" released in 1975, "Bewitched", a remake of the supernatural sitcom, and "The Invasion", a reinterpretation of the free science-fiction thriller in 1956 "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." In both "The Stepford Wives" and "Bewitched", Kidman took the female characters to new levels with regard to strong femininity and seductive charm. Therefore, It is fascinating to speculate on where Kidman's character would Monroe, Pola. In "How to Marry a Millionaire", Pola is a charming little narcissistic and Daft character among the bunch, and Nicole Kidman, after walking on water a bit higher may choose to have the IQ Pola launched up a few notches by making him read some Virginia Woolf as a nod to Oscar winner Nicole Kidman's performance in "The Hours".
Battle of the blondes Nicole Kidman and the late Marilyn Monroe are remarkably similar, both are blonde, beautiful bombs that can charm the pants off almost everyone. Kidman, with her sultry signature and class behavior, can most certainly turn more than a few heads, but can it compete with one of the most iconic and charming curves of the 20th century? Although Monroe was and remains the epitome of a sex symbol, some say its quality chops are certainly no match for the Oscar Kidman. Monroe may have had experience with weddings of prestige, such as his union with Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller, but Kidman most certainly knows a thing or two about marrying millionaires, namely Hollywood heavy Tom Cruise and country crooner Keith Urban. Perhaps that is why Kidman initially signed for the project, she just wanted to put all this knowledge to work. Posted on July 29, 2010.
