Who is Nancy Botwin in Weeds? Nancy Botwin Reyes (formerly Scottson) is the main character in Weeds Showtime's dramedy. A widow and mother of three living in an upmarket suburb near Los Angeles, California, she made ends meet by selling marijuana, often with disastrous consequences for himself and others. How exactly, she became a drug dealer has never been revealed, but in the pilot episode, he revealed that she met her supplier Heylia James through his brother-brother Andy, who is friends with Conrad Shepard.

In the fifth season cliffhanger, Shane Pilar strikes suddenly with a croquet mallet, causing it to fall into the pool, bleeding from the head, apparently dead.
