Mike Comrie ...? Is Mike Comrie the player most under-estimated in the NHL?
Comrie has talent, but wherever he plays, we hear the same thing, he has a big head or an exaggerated sense of self. He still has yet to fulfill its promise and I would bet Nolan will have enough of it before the playoffs roll.
Was not he also owned Philly for a while?
No, in fact, it is a bit over-rated
He certainly has the skill, but he emerges a little diva in her attitude as well. I mean, remember when he was with the Oilers and he wanted more money and was ready to sit down? This was his first year, is not it? Or at least their second or third year. I think it's the only thing that keeps him in terms of media coverage.
288 is right. Mike Comrie Adam Oates skills, but has a disproportionately high opinion of himself. The guy checked the effect by Oiler fanbase held early in the season (despite being the son of the richest man in Edmonton), so he had to do. It was a dog in Phoenix, despite playing for his childhood idol (Wayne Gretzky). Comrie has talent, but his attitude kills the lockeroom like no other.
So to answer your question ... Mike Comrie is itself retain the highlight in terms of being a recognized talent in the NHL.
Must ... not ... let ... abhorrence of player ... response bias ...
I do not know about "most" underrated player. There are too many of them. This is my personal opinion it is not the player most under-estimated anyway.
I must admit Mike Comrie is probably underestimated if. It is a bit sketchy guy who is not afraid to get up people's faces (as the goalkeeper, haha). It is fast too.
However, I think someone like Mike Fisher to be more understated, and I'd take him before Comrie ... Fisher has the speed and aggression and the bonus of being great in his own end. He won a lot of time on the pharmacokinetics and I think he put up more points than Comrie did last season.
ADD: Oh look, everyone has alluded to it, so I'll say it's a fucking douchebag. Lol.

Hockey playing!
Hes had a good life, I agree with that.
But the most underrated cannot I agree with that. Hes a decent hockey player, but seems to be a cancer in the locker room, where ever he goes. I can cite other players who are more valuable to the team you may consider it more undderrated. So my answer to your question is no.
I like Comrie skills, but as others have noted, it was "interpersonal" issues in several stages in his career. These question marks to prevent the greater visibility as a genuine force impact in the league.
For my money, however, Cory Stillman is the player most under-estimated in the league. Either the guy was in my blind spot for an eternity.
Underrated? not at all. Cocky? Ya
PuckDat: Yes, Comrie was in Philadelphia. He had three decent games before turning into a pylon. Danny Markov is the Flyers came at the same time and completely out-played Comrie. Thus, the joke at the time: Chris Therien Comrie was Mini-Me.
Under-appreciated?
No.
More? Yes.
Look at his record. He was tossed from the league just because teams get frustrated with him. It is a good skater, but he is so inconsistent. Look at the beginning, he had this year ... and lately, nothing.
It is available in all fantasy leagues for a reason.
