Mary Meade

Mary MeadeDo you like really old novels?

By LT Meade. Mary J. Holmes, EDEN Southworth, to name a few.

I like novels very old, but I do not remember reading the three authors you mentioned. (It is possible that I have read one or more of these years without making a note of their names.)

Most of the classics, I love, were written in the 1700s, 1800s, early 1900s. Some even earlier. However, there are some whose names have disappeared into the mists of time, but I like their books when I see them. Some of those who are not as well known today are people like Margaret Sidney, Eleanor H. Porter and Kate Douglas Wiggin. They all wrote books that were very pleasant to read.

Oh, definitely. Depends on your definition of "old" but one of my favorite books is the Count of Monte Cristo.

Well ... I like Josephine Tey and Anya Seton and HP Lovecraft. All authors are a bit dated (you can tell from their writing styles), but really good: D
