Marketplace | Mary McCartney Newest of Paul McCartney Album: Electric Arguments Paul McCartney's new album, Electric Arguments is not really under the name of Paul McCartney (or Wings), but under the name The Fireman. The Fireman is a collaboration between McCartney and experimental music producer who goes by one name (Martin Glover.) Electric Arguments of Youth is actually their third album. Their first two were the 1993 Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest and 1998 precipitated.
Unlike their first two albums, Electric Arguments is based more vocal. The songs are songs rather than just soundscapes. Rushes is an album that is spaced ambient voices from time to time and when they were included, they were like effects, not as a melodic line.
Although many people think of Paul McCartney as the cut clean "by the Beatles or the guy who wrote songs like" My Love "and" Silly Love Songs "in 1970, Paul McCartney has a strong tradition as a and experimental musician. And projects with young people are the best examples of this (also look for the Liverpool Sound Collage.) But this time, McCartney married his experimental tendencies with this pop songwriting tendencies and the result is this very interesting and exciting new album.
I am confident that Electric Arguments will open the minds of the music of McCartney. To realize that this kind of creative genius is bubbling under the surface of virtually all of his work. It is the listener to notice. A great way to begin to understand the genius of McCartney's work is to realize that it is one of the most-interesting to not attach a bass line. Listen for the bass not only in the songs of the Beatles but also in his solo work. I think you will be amazed what you missed if you have not listened to it before.
For me, Electric Arguments is one of the albums of the year. It will certainly not seen that way by many because, really, no matter how much an album, it makes people are quick to dismiss it. And people would prefer that someone like this band quite tedious Coldplay put on the album of the year (Viva La Loca or whatever it is called is actually quite boring). "
Electric Arguments me not only happy to continue to listen to this album, but also to hear what else McCartney rolled up their sleeves. I hope he keeps pushing things this way. We do not need "straight" pop "Sir Paul" it's time for McCartney to leave his side arty freaky to wander freely.
And yes, please release that OL "mysterious" Carnival of Light "while you're there. If you are not a full on Beatles freak like me then you may be wondering" What is it that Carnival of Light? is indeed an excellent example of how McCartney has long been a musician very experimental.
It is a 13 minute + long experimental piece recorded by the Beatles January 5, 1967, which was never released (or even heard more than a few people), as it was deemed too bizarre for release. For a group that has published "Revolution No. 9" and "What's The New Mary Jane" is an understatement.
I say it is evidence of McCartney's experimental side to go back a long time, because it was McCartney who was behind the registration of this title.
Electric Arguments demonstrates that experimental side McCartney is still alive and well, even if he is 66 years. It is a wonderful thing to hear.
