Believe it or not, but Karen Grassle was not close to Michael Landon, even during the filming of "Little House On The Prairie". Michael Landon was known as a perfectionist "and severely reprimanded everyone on set, everyone except Melissa Gilbert (Laura), which he regards as a daughter. Karen Grassle was reduced to tears several times during the filming of the series and would not speak with Michael Landon took over. These incidents were widely distributed throughout the shoot-out of "Little House" series in the 70s and early 80s.

SIDE FACT: Melissa Gilbert Michael Landon and added so much thought of him as a father, so much so, she named her son "Michael" in honor of Michael Landon.
