Marketplace | Jay Gordon What is the difference between Flash (Jay Garrick) and Flash Gordon? East are the two neighbors? What is the difference between Flash (Jay Garrick) and Flash Gordon? East are the two neighbors?
They both seem to have the same logo, but a different story. What is wrong with these two characters? Is a spin-off of the other or something? Jay Garrick is a superhero, capable of running at superhuman speeds. Flash Gordon was a normal human being who has traveled to another planet and became a hero after defeating a villain named Ming. The two are in no way connected.
I'm sure neither one of them is a spin-off from another. Flash Gordon was created in 1934 as a spinoff of Buck Rogers, and he has actually been created to compete with Buck Rogers own cartoon. Flash was created in 1940 and a spin-off of Superman SuperSpeed (many early superhero powers that have been "borrowed" from Superman at the time). The names and logos like this were most likely just coincidence. They are the same, like Superman and Clark Kent are the same. Check the reference below encyclopedia They could not be more different. Flash Gordon was in 1970 or early 80's movie, based on a Jets football player who saves the earth. Jay Garrick is the Golden Age Flash from DC Comics. Not the same thing. Two completely different comic characters who are in a similar logo. Jump to Toonopedia Don Markstein, and you will find complete information on there. For our purposes, Toonopedia is much better than Wikipedia, and people can not modify articles and ruin.
