My father and I watched the movie Western "Bandolero! Several times and I noticed that the main melody of his theme song, if you pay real good attention, sounds quite similar to the melody in the verses from the classical norm JD Souther, "You're Only Lonely." Well, I wonder ... do you know if JD "borrowed" the melody and put it in his composition?

I do not think anything two-sounding melody.
