Marketplace | Glenn Ford In Air Force One with Harrison Ford, Glenn Close said that the president has no right to take risks with hello? Glenn Close said that the president of AHS no right to take risks with his life. Why not? I loved this movie and have seen several times. I think it's because the president is the leader of the free world and he has other people to take the ball to him. This is a movie ... This is a movie. In the film, Glenn Close is vice president and she will not take more than POTUS. Obviously she is not comfortable with its power to exercise or responsibility. Thus, it is quite upset about the risks of the President (Harrison Ford) needed for control of Air Force One back to the Russian terrorists. In the line of history, this attack was revenge of the backlash to the U.S. intervention in Afghanistan, arming the mujahedeen against the Soviets. Damn, that seems to haunt us a bit. Thank you, Reagan!
I think one can compare Bush to jump on Air Force One on 9/11/01 and hiding all day, breaking the military base at the military base to protect it against attack. The Secret Service should have pushed Bush out of the classroom as soon as Andy Card told him about the background. Although I do not see why he needed to run and hide when we were attacked by commercial aircraft GUYS BY cutters. How it managed to reduce our defense system billions of dollars is beyond me. One of my favorite movies. Close VP is right. The president has a responsibility in the country. Even if something were to happen to the president and vice president were to take over, there are no guarantees that the vice president would know everything the President participated inch Most likely he (or she) would not. A famous example is Harry Truman did not find information on the atomic bomb after FDR died and he, Truman became president. The sudden death of president may have an impact on financial security and national levels. It may cause the market to react negatively or encourage our enemies to take advantage of a perceived power vacuum. If a president wants to live his life on the edge by participating in dangerous activities, so he should think before taking the job.
"Get off my plane!" Because he is the President, Head of State. When you take a position, as it is assumed that your personal interest to take a back seat of your duties as a holder of the office you are in. The position, power and stature of the office is bigger than n does it matter what individual. Good example of my former Governor Blagojevich! I have not seen the film.
For most presidents, that may be true. Most presidents in recent decades have never served in combat. Some have never served their country in the military. They are not equipped to make a tactical decision, even if they have the power to do so. They must fully rely on the advice of military experts (like most cabinet also excludes them). In the absence of such advice, they can not make an informed decision based on the experience of combat. Everything they do is a joker.
If she wanted the President to paris on his life without a decision based on experience, then she may be right. If he had experience, then she was out of line. If a person is on the scene, he is in a better position to analyze the situation of someone sitting in a chair in front of a TV. If that person also has some combat experience - experience in dealing with danger, it is likely to be able to take a more tactical decision that he who has no experience. Posted on May 22, 2010.
