Doris Day

Doris DayCalamity Jane, Doris Day and Chicago

I will not lie and say I know a hell of a lot of things about Chicago. I am not the person most geographically mind and go abroad to visit the "Windy City" requires some form of monetary savings, which I have none.

One thing I know is, how it relates to Calamity Jane, the tomboy character of women who lived in the Wild West, wearing an animal skin and visited "Chicagee to find an artist for the local theater.

I grew up watching the movie Calamity Jane, starring Doris Day in the lead role, and must admit it is the only source of all my acquaintances in Chicago. My favorite is when 'Calam' - as she was affectionately known by cowboys Wild Bill Hickock - dressed to the nines before attending the village and shot everyone how amazing shower and pretty dress can transform a girl into a glamorous woman aggressive (However, it does end up brandishing a gun at the buffet table party and the shooting of his new image found in pieces in a few minutes to arrive at the event, but enough this subject).

The transformation came courtesy of the artist Calamity had found in Chicago, called Katy Brown. The two became best friends, lived in a wooden hut and managed to make cakes very good on an open fire. However, their friendship soured when the two women fell for the same man who in my opinion, was not making much anyway.

The boys were quickly gathered at Calam realized she was in love with Wild Bill throughout this fact, for a nice happy ending with a giant cake and a white intermarriage.

So I'm sitting in my cubicle, typing away at my keyboard while noisy gurgling mineral water, I secretly wish I was somewhere in Illinois, working in a Chicago office , and a gun holster drinking a cold sasparilla. Chicagee Aaaah.
