Filled with familiar sites and scenic landscapes, Tuscany has been used as a filming location for many famous movies. The charm and attraction of Tuscany is quite outstanding, and several films have not only been filmed, but also focused on the picturesque towns of Tuscany, like Cortona and Florence.

Tanning under the Tuscan Sun

One of these films is Under the Tuscan Sun, a 2003 Audrey Wells direction based on the novel by Frances Mayes the same name. The film has helped reveal the best sites and attractions that dot the historic city of Florence. Some of the locations used in the film including the Piazza della Signoria and the Piazza della Republica.

The Piazza della Signoria is a square in the form of an L, and is located in Florence, in Tuscany. The Plaza is an important historical basis, he served former political center of the city.
