McMahon was great even before he took a snap as a Chicago Bear. During his studies at Brigham Young University, McMahon led the Cougars of BYU in one of the greatest comebacks in the history of college football. This game is known as the "Miracle Bowl". The Cougars were facing a tough SMU Mustangs team that had a pair of RB Eric Dickerson and Craig James, two guys you might have heard. The Cougars were down 45-25 with four minutes left in the game, feeling the crowd BYU lose hope, McMahon shouted that the game was not quite finished. . He quickly led to three touchdowns, one including a Hail Mary pass to Clay Brown as time ran out the clock. This has really put McMahon on the map

Like every other American, Jim McMahon has an affinity for drinking beer. After being drafted by the Bears in the 1982 draft in the NFL. McMahon showed the first public Bears Chicago with a cold beer in hand. This did not please the new head coach Mike Ditka and team owner George Halas. McMahon has serious cojones. Before going into this next tidbit of information, I do not condone the actions of McMahon. In 2003, McMahon was intercepted in Florida for driving while impaired. This is not great. However, after having been intercepted, McMahon came out of the car and told the police .... "Im too drunk, you got me." Even the way he announced his guilt is impressive.

Coach Ditka would win in a battle against a hurricane, which is less than the name of the hurricane was Ditka ... then this would be a tie. As a quarter of the dominant 1985 Bears, Jim McMahon classic line in the video was "I am the punky QB known as McMahon." That earned him the nickname of Punky QB. A nickname for a beloved cult band among, myself, well .... he who loves this article.
