9 Reasons why Jim McMahon in 1985 bear is impressive Quarterback Jim McMahon Chicago Bears in 1985 is impressive. I know what you think, this is not new information. Knowledge of how impressive McMahon was at the disposal of the human race for centuries. So just consider this as a running memory. This is unless you try to forget Jim McMahon and the Chicago Bears ... Yes, we want you to say that Steve Grogan and Tony Eason.
9.) Miracle Bowl "
McMahon was great even before he took a snap as a Chicago Bear. During his studies at Brigham Young University, McMahon led the Cougars of BYU in one of the greatest comebacks in the history of college football. This game is known as the "Miracle Bowl". The Cougars were facing a tough SMU Mustangs team that had a pair of RB Eric Dickerson and Craig James, two guys you might have heard. The Cougars were down 45-25 with four minutes left in the game, feeling the crowd BYU lose hope, McMahon shouted that the game was not quite finished. . He quickly led to three touchdowns, one including a Hail Mary pass to Clay Brown as time ran out the clock. This has really put McMahon on the map
8.) This guy loves his beer
Like every other American, Jim McMahon has an affinity for drinking beer. After being drafted by the Bears in the 1982 draft in the NFL. McMahon showed the first public Bears Chicago with a cold beer in hand. This did not please the new head coach Mike Ditka and team owner George Halas. McMahon has serious cojones. Before going into this next tidbit of information, I do not condone the actions of McMahon. In 2003, McMahon was intercepted in Florida for driving while impaired. This is not great. However, after having been intercepted, McMahon came out of the car and told the police .... "Im too drunk, you got me." Even the way he announced his guilt is impressive.
7.) Who would win in a fight? Coach Ditka or a hurricane?
Coach Ditka would win in a battle against a hurricane, which is less than the name of the hurricane was Ditka ... then this would be a tie. Swerski Superfans sketch of Bill on SNL is on something when referencing Coach Ditka. It appeared there was a rift between the quarterback Jim McMahon, and the antics of coach Mike Ditka.McMahon attitude and didn't sit so well with coach Ditka, one of the most notable stem from the tendency of McMahon to change the parts in the caucus and the line of scrimmage, which really upset Da Coach. This builds tension between them leads to a disagreement between McMahon and Coach Ditka (and team president Michael McCaskey). Finally, this estrangement led to be marketed in 1989 at the San Diego Chargers. Bear fans hated to see leave McMahon but injury problems plagued his days playing in Chicago. For my part, would not object to Mike Ditka on anything. Something makes me feel as if Ditka when he is angry, he would not be a good person around.
6.) It can throw a football pitch and a product
Jim McMahon was the pitchman for numerous commercials 80s. We all love the television commercials of the 80s.
5.) "The Punky QB"
The 1985 Chicago Bears are known to be one of the most dominant teams in NFL history .... And for the Super Bowl Shuffle. The Super Bowl Shuffle was a rap record set up featuring the players. As a quarter of the dominant 1985 Bears, Jim McMahon classic line in the video was "I am the punky QB known as McMahon." That earned him the nickname of Punky QB. A nickname for a beloved cult band among, myself, well .... he who loves this article.
I'm the punky QB known.
