History of Everton FC Shirts
Everton Football Club has begun on St. Domingo Methodist Church Sunday School which was opened in May 1870. FC St. Domingo is quickly established a local reputation for themselves, but when they started to recruit football players from beyond the parish a name change was essential, hence the start of Everton FC November 1879. Their first fixture, against St. Pierre held on 20 December 1879 in Stanley Park, Everton and very proudly won 6-0 in blue and white striped shirt of. In those days players recruited from an alternative programming could still wear the jersey of his former club Everton so wants a unified package, all dyed their black shirts, adding two inches wide red belt, which brought them nickname of The Black Watch, after the military regiment. Everton have been invited to become founding members of the Football League in 1888 and played in their opening match of the League in September 1888, won 2-1. The 1970s was a villain in the history of the club, but the 1980 has a turn with the return of Howard Kendall. Everton won the FA Cup for the fourth time and to top it all, European success was finally achieved. The club's transfer record was broken in 1988 when Tony Cottee joined West Ham United for £ 2.5 million.
